Dr. Rohrback's expertise covers the integration of multivariate data processing for process analyzers and laboratory instruments catering to routine quality analysis. Prior to his current position, he worked for Cities Services Oil Company, now Occidental Petroleum, with industry positions including research scientist managing the chromatography group, an exploration geologist, and manager of planning/budget for EAME. He holds a B.S. in chemistry, a Ph.D. in organic geochemistry, and an MBA. His 50-year span of published works include topics in petroleum exploration, chemical plant optimization, clinical and pharmaceutical diagnostics, informatics, pattern recognition and multivariate analysis.
Ty is the founder of CEMTEK KVB-Enertec with over 30 years of experience in the instrumentation and environmental field, encompassing, process control instrumentation, CEMS engineering, manufacture, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and service. Ty gained his CEMS experience at Horiba Instruments and KVB, before founding CEMTEK Systems. Ty’s field experience has made him successful in helping to engineer CEMS for a wide variety of applications as well as diagnosing difficult application and CEMS problems in the field. He has extensive experience in training and support of installed CEMS in all types of industrial and utility applications.
Tony Sandfoss has spent the past 11 years working within the industrial automation industry. His first seven years were spent with the level, pressure, and density instrumentation manufacturer, VEGA Americas Corp., where he began working while obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northern Kentucky University. Having started in the manufacturing sector, assembling nuclear gauges, Tony worked his way to a Product Management position with VEGA for their line of magnetic level indicators and signal conditioners.
Today, Tony is the Technology Manager for M4 Knick, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tony is responsible for Product Management, Product Development, and all technical aspects of M4 Knick’s product portfolio including liquid analytical sensors and transmitter technologies specializing in the measurements of pH, ORP, conductivity, and oxygen.
Phil is the President at Insight Analytical Solutions - a Calgary-based integrator, distributor and developer of process analyzer and sampling technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics, University of Manitobe and Masters of Science in Chemistry, University of Manitoba. Phil has 35 years experience , starting in the nuclear industry and coming to Alberta to develop process analyzer solutions for the oil and gas industry with Western Research. He is an ISA Fellow, recipient of a lifetime achievement award for technical innovation, the ISA award winner for excellence in technical presentation and a seven time recipient of the GTFK award for best technical paper at ISA Analysis Division Conferences. He is the author of over 30 technical and research papers, and travels extensively internationally to teach courses on the design of process analyzer sample systems.
J.D. Tate is the senior technical leader for Dow’s Process Analytical Capability, one of the largest in the industry. His team is responsible for more than 22,000 on-line analyzers used to control industrial process equipment. Dr. Tate has more than 29 years of experience as an expert in online analysis, where his team installed thousands of analyzers to monitor important industrial processes. He has also led numerous research and development efforts focused on commercializing new analytical technology. His most recent effort is the commercialization of tunable diode laser (TDL) analyzers, which are recognized as a breakthrough in the petrochemical industry.
Mr. Olstowski is currently Product Manager for COSA Xentaur. He is Founder of ATOM Instrument, a brand of Process Insights. He possesses over 40 years of experience in the analyzer industry and is recognized as a renowned scientist with a practical working knowledge of optics, electronics, chemistry and physics. His background has primarily involved working in a R&D capacity in method optimization and analytical instrumentation development including laboratory and on-line chromatography, speciated BTU analysis, IR (Infrared) Absorption analysis, chemical tape, X-ray and UV Fluorescence analysis, and the inventor of Excimer UV Fluorescence and other patented technologies.
Oliver graduated college as an engineer for environmental technology and started in 2003 as Systems Integration Manager with Buhler Technologies GmbH. After 10 years of systems experience, he switched over to international sales eventually overseeing Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He then took over the responsibility as sales director for the business unit Gas Analysis. In 2018, he moved as an expatriate to the U.S. in charge of the North American operation in Rochester Hills, MI.
